The Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 1
As pilot episodes go The Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 1 was a triumph. By the end I was well and truly hooked and desperate for The Walking Dead Season 2. Quite a few great series have taken a long while, imo, to warm up, The Wire and Breaking Bad are two examples that come to mind, but The Walking Dead series hits the ground running. The very first scene is a beauty. Continue reading
The Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 2
The Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 2 is fast paced and full of action. What was particularly striking about this next installment was how quickly and how far the plot deviates from the original comic book series. We all knew that the TV series would diverge and certain things would be done in a different way, episode one was a perfect example of this. The pilot stuck pretty close to the original plot line but extra scenes were added and original scenes adapted to improve and enhance the TV experience. Continue reading
The Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 3
The Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 3 introduces a new change in pace to the series, with a much stronger emphasis on the human drama of the survivors situation rather than action packed zombie slaying and/or escaping. That’s not to say that the tension is any less. In fact from the word go the episode takes us on an emotional roller coaster that never lets up. Continue reading
The Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 4
The Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 4 opens with Andrea and Amy in a small fishing boat talking about their father and the way he taught them fishing in different ways that reflected their personalities. It’s a moving, poignant scene and as I write these synopsizes I’m struck by how relentless the emotional content of this series is. Even the relaxed moments are charged, there’s just no let up. Continue reading
The Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 5
Prepare yourself for The Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 5! So it’s the morning after the night before…what a hangover. Rick tries to contact Morgan on the walkie talkie and warns him not to enter Atlanta. Meanwhile Andrea hasn’t moved from the dead body of Amy. When Rick goes to explain that they have to deal with the body Andrea pulls a pistol on Rick who quickly backs off. As per usual the first scene throws us right back in there. Continue reading
The Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 6
Below is my synopsis of The Walking Dead episode six. If you haven’t seen it I suggest you don’t read on. Buy The Walking Dead Season 1 and enjoy! In the series up until now Shane’s character has been called … Continue reading
